Epoxy-based coatings have been proven to provide better adhesion and chemical-proofing than polyurethane coatings. Both types of industrial floor coatings are resistant to abrasions and have relatively similar cure times. Polyurethane coatings, on the other hand, have been shown to display stronger anti-UV properties compared to epoxy based coating. However, this advantage comes with a major drawback. Surfaces applied with polyurethane coating are more prone to damage due to its softer character.
